1876 Wrexham’s “Year of Wonder."
1876 was a glorious year for Wrexham. The astonishing and enormous Art Treasures exhibition ran for four-months, the National Eisteddfod was held there for the first time and the concept of a Football Association for Wales agreed at the Wrexham Wynnstay. 2026 is the 150th anniversary of these fantastic events. Guided tours for 2026 will celebrate all these occurrences as part of the Year of Wonder Project.
