I am a published author; The Holy Dee came out in 2021. It followed on from Resurrection River in 2017. I walked the full length of both rivers to research them. The books cover history, natural history, people and places and … the sheer joy of walking.
I do illustrated talks on both books to groups such as Historical Societies, u3a, W.I.’s etc. I have delivered them at the Carnival of Words literary festival in Wrexham.
In 2023 I achieved a first-class honours degree in Social and Cultural History at Glyndwr University in Wrexham. I followed this with an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Chester.
In June 2025 I won the Flash Fiction Category of the Cheshire Prize for Literature.
In November 2025 I was selected to take part in a Representing Wales Writing Fiction residential master class at Ty Newydd. I have been further selected to be part of their writers development programme for 2026 – 2027.
The first Masterclass took place Ty Newydd in April 2026.
